का THE2WINS · why us

Six reasons, each with proof

Not slogans. Every line below has a page, a photograph or a lab report behind it.

  • शुद्ध

    Nothing added

No colour, no polish, no preservative, no filler. The pack holds the crop and nothing else.

  • तपासलेले

    Lab-tested, report published

Every product has its own laboratory report against FSSAI standards, and every report is on the certifications page for you to read.

  • मूळ

    Two named origins

Sangli's black soil and Meghalaya's Jaintia Hills, where Lakadong carries GI Reg. No. 741 — both named on the pack.

  • योग्य भाव

    Fair price, paid direct

Farmers are paid at the farm gate as the lot is weighed in — not on a mandi cycle, not on a middleman's terms.

  • पारंपरिक

    Made the old way

Open-pan gur from fresh cane. Turmeric boiled whole and dried in the sun. Ginger sun-dried and milled fine.

  • कुटुंब

    Family-run in Sangli

Started by Ashwini Khochare and run with her twin sister, Avanti. The family confirms every order on WhatsApp.

नावाचा अर्थ · why the name

जुळे, आणि दोन विजय

THE2WINS is named for the twin sisters who run it, Ashwini and Avanti — the two figures on our badge — and makes a promise: every order wins twice, once in the village and once at your table. Scroll on — the picture tells it.

एक हंगाम · one harvestIt begins in the soil — turmeric lifted by hand.

काढणीचा हंगाम · the harvestLifted by the crew who grow it — for a fair, direct price.

दोन हात · two pairs of handsGraded by hand, finger by finger — nothing hidden.

दोन हात, दोन विजय.two hands · two wins

Win one · the farm

Farmers in the Kolhapur–Sangli belt earn a fair, direct price — and every field that switches from sugarcane to turmeric or ginger earns more from the same soil.

Win two · the kitchen

Your family gets staples with nothing added and nothing hidden: no chemicals, no colours, no preservatives — prepared the way they were before shortcuts.

A family kitchen is where the second win begins.

आमची गोष्ट · our story

THE2WINS was born in the Khochare family kitchen in Sangli — started by Ashwini Khochare alongside her husband, Captain Mahesh Khochare (Retd.), and run today with her twin sister, Avanti Raut.

“After 25 years in the Indian Navy, the Captain came home — and turned the family's sugarcane fields into turmeric fields.”

Not as a gesture, but as proof to every farmer in the belt that the switch pays. The family carries what those fields grow, from the farm gate to your kitchen shelf.

प्रत्येक बरणीची गोष्ट · the journey

Eight scenes from field to shelf

Every jar walks the same road — so we had the road drawn, scene by scene, the way it deserves to be told.

  1. Captain Mahesh Khochare (Retd.) in Navy dress whites, the Naval ensign and the tricolour behind him
घरवापसीThe homecomingTwenty-five years in uniform, then home to the black-soil belt with one question he still puts to any room that will listen: why do the farmers who feed everyone earn the least?
  2. Young turmeric plants in rows with drip irrigation lines under a monsoon sky
पेरणीPlanting the changeThe family's own sugarcane fields are the first to take turmeric seed — proof before persuasion.
  3. Rows of mature turmeric either side of a furrow, a line of palms on the horizon
शेत हिरवं होतंThe fields turn greenMonsoon rows of broad-leafed haldi where cane once stood — the same black soil, earning more per acre.
  4. Harvest crew filling pans in the field, one worker carrying a loaded basket on their head
काढणीThe harvestFresh rhizomes lifted from the earth with the soil still clinging — the season the whole village works.
  5. A carpet of boiled turmeric fingers spread out to dry in the open sun
वाळवणBoiled, then sun-driedBoiled, then spread out and dried by nothing but sun — no polish, no colour, no hurry.
  6. Illustration of farmers stirring a huge open pan of bubbling golden jaggery over a wood fire at night
गुऱ्हाळThe jaggery nightCane juice slow-cooked in the open pan until it sets golden — no washing soda, no bleach, just heat and patience.
  7. The procurement lead inside a truck loaded with sacks collected straight from the field
गावाकडून घराकडेFarm to homeSacks leave the village loaded by our own procurement team — collected direct from the field, no mandi in between.
  8. Fresh turmeric rhizome, cut slices, dried fingers and ground powder together on white
स्वयंपाकघरThe second winRoot, slice, finger and powder — the same harvest, all the way to your family’s table.

सण आणि समारंभ · celebrations

Every festival here begins with gur

Tilgul at Sankranti, puran poli for the festive table, chikki for Diwali faral — the Maharashtrian festival calendar is sweetened with jaggery, never refined sugar. Cook this year's plate from the same jars the village celebrates with.
